Our commitment is to provide an enjoyable, relaxed, friendly and nurturing environment in a professional, high quality licensed childcare setting. Knowing that your child is safe, feels emotionally secure and experiences a sense of belonging in a small and personal group atmosphere will provide peace of mind. Nutritious and delicious lunches and snacks, made from “scratch”, are served to the children who attend childcare on their non-school days.

Teacher-directed and child-initiated learning strategies are used to enhance E.L.F.’s five developmental domains (Social, Emotional, Language, Cognitive, and Physical Development). Daily program plans are designed to provide a stimulating variety of activities in the arts, literacy, science, math, social studies and fine/gross motor skills, enhancing the development of each kindergarten aged child. Most importantly, we focus on nurturing a positive sense of self esteem!

7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday LeaHurst site
7:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday, KPS
- Program runs September through June
- Summer Program - July and August
- Closed all statutory holidays and week between Christmas and New Year
- Priority will be given to full time care requirements

Partnering with parents
The centre’s co-operative philosophy extends to the childcare program, giving all parents the opportunity to become genuinely involved in the childcare program in a variety of ways, from visiting the program and assisting on field trips, to becoming involved on the Board of Directors. When parents participate, everyone - child, parent and teacher, benefits! Regular social events will be planned so that busy families can come together, have the opportunity to get to know one another and foster a sense of belonging to a close-knit group.
